The hawo EcoPak 04 and 04S models are the first in the EcoPak Series to include an integrated thermal printer and IntelligentScan barcode configuration compatibility. This makes them uniquely positioned for sterile barrier system (SBS) workflows where speed, labelling, and traceability are critical.

The EcoPak 04 / 04S from hawo is the perfect balance of automation, traceability, and documentation. This model builds on the validated hardware of the EcoPak 03 but adds labelling and barcode-based configuration features — two tools that significantly reduce manual errors and improve process speed.
The integrated printer allows direct labelling of the porous pouch side with key data points, such as expiration date, sterilisation batch number, and staff ID. This eliminates the need for separate labels and ensures that traceability is always preserved on the packaging itself.
The system also supports hawo’s IntelligentScan barcode solution, which enables users to scan pre-configured barcodes to apply stored settings like sealing temperature, pressure, and speed. This improves operational consistency while minimising setup time across departments or locations.
The sealing system uses hawo’s flat SealPeak technology, offering consistent and strong seams with clean, peelable results.
Other performance features include automatic start, RS 232 output for external documentation, and support for high-grade sealing materials such as Tyvek® (EN 868-9) and PP fleece.
This model is perfect for CSSDs, dental clinics, and packaging facilities that want printing and programmable consistency without stepping up to full validation or connectivity.
