The EcoPak 05 / 05S from hawo is the most capable and feature-rich model in the EcoPak Series. It combines the entire feature set of the previous models — ISO 11607-2 validation, IntelligentScan barcode compatibility, integrated printer, RS 232 output, and a monitored sealing process — into a single high-performance pouch sealing solution.
Available in white (05) or stainless steel (05S), this model is suited to facilities that require full documentation, traceability, and high throughput with minimal human error.
The EcoPak 05 / 05S is designed for institutions that require complete control and documentation over the sealing process — from input to output. It brings together hawo’s most important packaging innovations to support validated workflows and digital traceability, making it ideal for hospitals, reprocessing units, and third-party packaging services.
It includes a validated sealing system, compliant with ISO 11607-2 and the guidance of CEN ISO/TS 16775. Temperature, pressure, and sealing time are constantly monitored and logged. Using the RS 232 port, this data can be exported to a PC or documentation system.
The built-in printer allows for direct labelling of SBS packaging, including sterilisation date, operator ID, batch number and more — without requiring stickers or manual marking.
The EcoPak 05 also supports IntelligentScan, which allows predefined sealing profiles to be applied instantly via barcode scanning. This reduces human error and speeds up shift changes or configuration changes between departments.
The 05 and 05S feature hawo’s flat SealPeak sealing technology, automatic start, and support for the full range of high-quality SBS materials, including Tyvek® and PP fleece.
Whether in white powder-coated steel (EcoPak 05) or stainless steel (EcoPak 05S), this model is the highest tier of pouch sealing performance and process control.
