What factors do I need to consider when buying a laboratory incubator?

One of the main factors you should consider is how much space you have in your laboratory. It is important to check the external dimensions of the incubators to see if it will fit in the space you are locating it. Furthermore, if you are buying a large incubator, make sure you consider whether it will fit through the door. You should double check the external packed dimensions to make sure it will fit. If your laboratory is located above ground level, check the device will fit inside the lift.

You should also consider the internal capacity and whether this will be big enough for your needs. Also consider how many shelves you want. Other questions you should ask are: do I need a built-in sterilisation cycle? Do I need castors to be able to move the incubator if needed? Do I require CO2 for my incubator?
