When should I replace my centrifuge rotor, buckets and adaptors?

Any accessories such as rotor, buckets and adaptors that show signs of corrosion or wear should be replaced immediately. Failure to do so could create a serious health and safety hazard.

However, even if the accessories are in good condition, you should still consider replacing them after a certain number of uses. This will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but generally accessories should be replaced after around 30,000 cycles or 10 years, whichever is greater. The exact number can usually be found in the operators manual of your device.
